Wisdom from CR
Do differences make us better? We were all created by one God the Father. However, we were not all cut from the same cloth. We should celebrate the differences but be united. Sound like an impossible task? The Apostle Paul didn’t seem to think so. Some eat meat and some only vegetables, but we worship the same Jesus. It is not the human message we receive but the Word of God. “We also thank God constantly for this: When you accepted God’s word that you heard from us, you welcomed it for what it truly is. Instead of accepting it as a human message you accepted it as God’s message, and it continues to work in you who are believers.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8. It is God’s Word that is the truth of Jesus Christ that is the uniting factor for us. All our differences are set aside, we raise our hands in total surrender only to Jesus who saves us. Free to use the gifts that God has given us to express in different ways the love of Christ. Difference can bring the best of us forward, unity in Christ makes us the same.
