PRE-SCHOOL PASSENGERS

On Sunday all the preschool children check in at the younger children’s desk located in the People Place. The children’s information is entered into the computer, the children receive a class nametag, and children up to the Horse Class get a Kiddy Keeper. The Kiddy Keepers are used in two ways, first to ensure only the person leaving the child can pick him/her back up and second to notify parents in the Sanctuary that they are needed. Each Kiddy Keeper has a set of numbers or numbers & letters on the back and these can be flashed on the lower corner of the screen in the Sanctuary.

Our Sunday classes are separated by age from September of one year to the next just as the schools do. This way the children have to opportunity to grow in friendship and faith with the same group from childhood to youth. Once a year in June the children move up to the next class with all their friends, giving them stability and helping to make the transition easier. Periodically through out the year adjustments are made to the teaching and activities to suit the growing levels of the children.

During the 8:00 and 11:45 services childcare is provided with fun activities planned for the mixed age groups. The Crib, Frog, & Fish classes combine and the Monkey, Bear, & Horse classes combine. During the 9:10 and 10:30 services the Sunday lesson is taught and expanded on in their individual classes.
